Online Purchases

It is very important that all customers are satisfied with their purchase and understand the terms and conditions.

All customers should clearly understand the terms and conditions before purchasing online. Please read the following policy regarding returns and exchanges. If you remain in any way uncertain, please contact us at [email protected]

Payment

Abalos uses Paypal as its payment facilities provider. Abalos may give notice to you by electronic mail or by regular mail to your address contained in the registration information provided by you. Purchases through the online store are conducted through PayPal, offering you a secure payment method.

Abalos does not have access to your banking or credit card details. When making an online purchase, you agree to purchase the product/s at the stated price as well the added shipping charges as shown on checkout. All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.

Receipt of purchase will be emailed to your nominated email account from PayPal. A tax invoice from Abalos will be delivered with the goods. Abalos does not take any responsibility for other parties using your accounts.

We also accept direct deposit and Visa and MasterCard. There is a 2.5% surcharge for all Visa and MasterCard payments. Please contact us directly to pay via these methods. Abalos reserves the right to cancel your order prior to payment being processed and can choose to refund orders which cannot be fulfilled.

Receipt of Order Confirmation

Once you place an online order, you will be sent an order receipt confirmation. If you do not receive this email please contact [email protected] so that we may investigate and confirm that your order has been placed successfully.

Prices

Prices are as set out on the website and include GST (10% Goods and Services Tax). We reserve the right to alter prices at any time. It may be necessary to change prices either up or down, from time to time. Any price changes will be confirmed to you at the time of ordering.

Pricing errors

If a product inadvertently appears on the web site at the wrong price, Abalos may decline or cancel any orders placed at the wrong price, even if the order has been confirmed and a credit card charged. If a credit card was charged for the purchase and the order is not cancelled, Abalos will notify the buyer and issue either a credit to the credit card account in the amount of the wrong price or ask for the remainder balance to be paid prior to shipping.

Delivery within Australia

We endeavour to use the fastest, safest and most cost effective form of delivery to get your purchases to you. Standard parcel deliveries will be made by courier Monday to Friday between approx. 9am and 5pm. General delivery turnaround times are only a couple of days for major metro areas. However, please allow up to 5 working days for delivery.

Your delivery address and any special delivery instructions must be supplied by you at the time of order.

In the event of increase, adjustment will be made our website information and to your order. Deliveries to some rural locations, and over-sized parcels will incur higher charges and will be priced accordingly once you order is received.

You will receive delivery of your order within 7 days if items are in stock and delivery address is in a major metropolitan area of Australia. If items are out of stock, we will contact you with expected timelines.

Abalos do not however guarantee any specific delivery date. If delays are anticipated, we will contact you.

Shipping rates are calculated by weight, size and value of the goods. The cost of shipping is indicated in the checkout. Goods are insured to ensure these reach you without damage. A signature may be required on receipt of delivery.

Abalos is not responsible for any additional charges should a parcel need to be re-delivered. This is the responsibility of the customer (you).

For larger/bulky items, such as furniture and lamps, delivery method will be discussed with the purchaser (you) to arrange suitable delivery method, depending on the final destination. Lead times may also vary for custom made pieces which are not held in stock. You will be notified should this be the case.

Please provide a Business Hours address and contact details. Otherwise, please provide special delivery instructions if no one is home. If the premises are unattended, the delivery will not be left, couriers charge extra if they can’t deliver and you will you will be charged for this amount. if goods coming by Australia Post they will go to the nearest Post office. Drivers will not telephone before delivery.

Products listed on the website are generally in stock. Should you make a purchase on an item that is out of stock Abalos will contact you advising availability and lead time.

International Orders & Delivery

International purchases are charged in Australian Dollars. Please use the international orders page for online purchases or contact us with your enquiry. Lead time and costs of shipping to your nominated international address will be quoted upon order placement/enquiry. International shipping rates are calculated by weight. Some international shipments may be subject to import duties, customs and taxes. Any of these additional costs are the responsibility of the purchaser (you). Your local customs office will be able to provide this information to you.

International orders are dispatched within 3-5 business days from placement of order to allow for packing and processing.

Shipping Rates

The rates below are estimation only with the starting price listed and are calculated by total weight, the package cubic area and the final destination/postcode. Total shipping costs are advised on placement of order.

Items are shipped from Sydney, Australia within 1-3 business days from placement of order. Australian Packages: Please allow 1-3 days including shipping and handling.* International Packages: Please allow 5-10 days including shipping and handling.*

Express services are available on request for most destinations at an additional charge. Any charges will be advised on placement of order. Should you wish to use your own delivery service, please contact us at [email protected]

Cancelations

You are entitled to cancel your order. If you wish to exercise this right please email [email protected] If your order has already been dispatched please follow our returns information.

Returns & Exchanges

If you are unhappy with a product for any reason, just send it back to us (with the original packaging) within 7 days in the original condition and we’ll refund or replace.

We regret that postage, packing and any insurance costs incurred in the delivery of the goods to you are direct costs and cannot be refunded. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us, and will remain responsible for any and all returned goods until they reach us. We strongly advise that a proof of postage certificate should be obtained when returning any part of your order.

Items will only be accepted if they are unused, undamaged, unmarked, in saleable condition and in their original packaging. Goods must be returned within 7 days of the original purchase date. Abalos is not responsible for goods not returned as undamaged, unmarked, in saleable condition and in their original packaging. Returns and exchanges will be processed as soon as possible after arrival. We will only make a refund using the same method of payment originally used by you to pay for your purchase.

Items can be exchanged for other pieces from the Abalos shop or an Abalos credit note/voucher. Invoice number/proof of purchase and reason/s for the exchange must be made clear. Abalos will advise on stock availability at that time for exchange.

The cost of returning the goods through an exchange transaction is the responsibly of the customer (you). Replacement goods will be dispatched once the original goods have been received by Abalos. Abalos will pay the delivery fee for the replacement goods being dispatched back to you.

Faulty Items + breakages

Should you consider an item faulty or damaged on its arrival, please contact Abalos immediately to discuss. If a product is broken upon delivery, Abalos needs to receive a photo/email of the broken goods within 24 hours of delivery as proof. We would will issue a credit or send replacement within 30 days of the date of the invoice.

Risk

Risk of damage, loss or deterioration to product passes to the buyer on delivery.

Sale & Clearance Items

Abalos does not offer exchanges or returns on sale or clearance items.

Product availability

Abalos will use its best endeavors to ensure that all products ordered by you are supplied to you. All items are subject to availability. All products are offered for sale on the basis of while stocks last. If a product is out of stock, Abalos will notify you within two days and notify you of the ETA or will refund your money in full. If for any reason beyond our control we are unable to supply any products then you will be offered a full refund or, if available and acceptable to you, substitute goods of equivalent quality and price.

Product warranties

Abalos products are warrantied with normal wear and tear and usage. All products to be used as it is intended. Subject to applicable law, Abalos does not make any other warranty or representation about products on offer. In respect of any statutory warranty that Abalos cannot exclude, subject to applicable law, Abalos’ liability is limited, at its option, to the replacement or re-supply of the products or a refund of the cost of the products were applicable.

Portrayal of Products

While every effort has been made to portray items accurately, slight variations may occur. All measurements quoted are approximate and the reproduction of colours is as accurate as photographic and publishing processes will allow. Please note there may be variations in colours dependant on the calibration and settings of individual screens.

Quality of Products

Due to the hand-made nature of our products, some variations in colour may occur, particularly if products are from different batches. To get the most out of any goods, you should take care to follow the care and installation instructions.

Accounts and Passwords

You are responsible for the confidentiality and maintenance of your personal account information and password and accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account and password. Please keep your personal details and password confidential and secure. Abalos shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage as a failure by you to protect your password or account details. Abalos reserves the right to refuse access to the website, terminate personal accounts, amend and remove content and cancel orders (at no cost to you). Your account contains all of your order history, your delivery details, and e-mail contact. You can see and edit any of this information by logging in using your username and password.

Data protection

Your personal data (e.g. your name, telephone number, e-mail address, billing and delivery address, debit and credit card details) are treated with total respect and confidentiality. Any personal information collected during the purchasing process will only be used by us. We will not provide any of your personal data to any outside company for marketing purposes.

Privacy and security

Visitors' privacy is important to Abalos deploys encryption and other technology with the aim of protecting credit card information and the customer database. Access to this database within Abalos is restricted. Abalos does not sell, rent, trade or rent personal information. By providing their details to Abalos on the web site, a visitor consents to Abalos maintaining, recording, holding and using that information to process their orders, to improve the service to customers and to inform the visitor of promotions. If a visitor has any questions regarding privacy, please notify Abalos.

Governing laws

The laws in New South Wales and Australia govern the use of the web site and the supply of products.

Force majeure

Abalos is excused from performing its supply obligations where and so long as prevented from doing so by reason of events beyond its reasonable control. Abalos will endeavour to notify the buyer of the delay and its expected duration. If so prevented for longer than a reasonable time, Abalos may elect to cancel the order without liability to the buyer.
